The Bush

Captured at Bongela Game Lodge, nestled in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere in Limpopo, South Africa. My photographs of Bonsmara cattle and wildlife explore the balance between domestication and the untamed African landscape. The cattle’s presence reflects the structured relationship between humans and livestock, yet they blend seamlessly into the open bushveld and rugged terrain. In contrast, the antelopes, untamed and elusive, are symbols of nature’s independence, and are untouched. My work symbolises renewal, resilience, and the deep-rooted cycles of nature that define cattle and game farming in South Africa. Through this series, I aim to showcase the raw beauty of animals, their connection to the land, and the delicate contrast between domestication and wilderness.
